This is an older movie but I always have been impressed with the "Armageddon" soundtrack.

The scenes that rock are when they are on the asteriod and everything is blowing up around them with particles moving all around.
"Even a broken clock is right 2x a day." Just limit yourself to 2 timely answers a day... I already exceeded my quota.

If you're into automatic gun fire shootouts the very best one is chapter 32 "under fire" from the movie "HEAT".
Unfortunatley, it's not encoded in dts but the Dolby surround will have you white knuckling the arm rests.
Be sure to pump up the volume.
Not "Comfortably Broke" anymore just plain broke.

Guys, I am also trying to set up two subs. How about just using an RCA splitter from the preamp/receiver's LFE output?

I'm going to buy WOTW! i thought the movie was Ok, but now that i have a new sound system it sounds like it might be better this time around!!

the most amazing sound i have ever heard is from HERO with Jet Li. the DTS is AWESOME!!! in the 1st fight scene the 2 dudes are fighting in the rain while an old man plays some kind of rice banjo. you can hear every rain drop and every string pluck- it REALLY feels like you are right there.... just AWESOME.

You should start a new thread because this will get lost. But using a splitter is a good starting point.

Believe it or not, the original Matrix movie. In the scene where Keanu walks up to the metal detector, opens his leather coat to reveal an automatic weapon store, you can hear the shell casings hit the floor during the splatter of hundreds or thousands of bullets. Also, later in the movie, when they are flying in the helicopter which eventually flies into the building, you can hear the helicopter blades flying around your room from above, assuming that you have a properly calibrated Surround system with Digital Optical Audio cables.

I was reading through this & wondering why nobody was suggesting The Matrix. There are a few scenes in that movie that will put your HT to the test.

I also used The Matrix to test out my Ipod in my SUV & that was a very nice test as well. If you have a Video Ipod, put The Matrix on it & play it in your car. I'm sure you thought your car system was nice before...But wait until you play a movie with this sound quality on it. It certainly made my Tahoe come alive!
