need to know if theres some way to get around dvd copy protect and record from dvd to dvd???

Yes. Get yourself a movie studio. Then you can own the copyright to some movies and you can make all the copies you want. You can even sell them in places like Target and Amazon.com.

If you want to back up your own DVDs, and they are not copy-protected, then:
1: download DVDshrink. It will compress a double-layer DVD so it will fit on a single-layer DVD-R/+R. 2: Buy Roxio or nero DVD burning software so you can burn the compressed files to a DVD. 3: learn how to use both programs.
It is not illegal to make a backup copy of the DVD movies you own. But it is illegal to crack the copyright protection on them. Proceed at your own risk.

It's also illegal to cross the street, while not using a proper pedestrian intersection....of course, none of the goodies on this site would ever do that...
