I'm looking for something primarily for JPEG, MPEG, MP3 and SVCD use. I have an older toshiba that still works great, but doesn't support these.

Go to VCDhelp.com. They have a compatibility list that could probably help you.

Check formats, but look into Denon 2900 & 1600(BARGIN).
