So, has anyone had any luck getting the discrete codes for all the inputs on a Mitsubishi 1080P DLP television yet. I sure wish I knew how to get the one's for the HDMI inputs, sure would make my life a little easier.

Hey bud, make sure slide up top on mits remote is on TV. Hold down power and enter 0-9-0. Then hit device up and then 4 to get HDMI2. hit device and then SQV to get HDMI1. To change remote back hold down power and enter0-0-0 that should do it

Here are all the direct view codes that I have:

Device and then
1 = input 1 (S-video/ composite)
2 = input 2
3 = input 3
4 = HDMI 2
5 = Component 1
6 = Component 2
SQV = HDMI 1
PIP CH up = Ant 1
PIP CH down = Ant 2

Power = Power on
stop = Power off
Pause = AV Reset

Still looking for codes for
Front Input, various card readers, and most importantly Component 3

How exactly will this help me propram my Pronto TSU7000. I guess I'm just not sure what a direct view code is. Will this allow me to individually select inputs on my pronto? Once I set the Mitsubishi remote this way will it allow me to teach the Pronto for the selected input? Does anyone understand a word I just said. I'm even confused know.

When you switch the remote over to this mode pressing specifc buttons will issue specific commands that only go to input 1 or hdmi or component or whatever you choose.

For instance you want the HDMI command
push the HDMI button you have on your Pronto and it will let you know to give it the command from the remote your teaching it from.

Make sure the mits remote is in the 0-9-0 mode
press device while pointing it away from the Pronto sensor, then press the SQV button as you face it into the bottom of the Pronto....It doesnt have to be instantaneous after the device button but within a couple of seconds.

Pushing the Device button on the Misubishi toggles the remote to fire out a discrete for an input and in this case you pressed SQV which issues the HDMI input.

The Pronto will learn that input command into that button.

Repeat this for the commands of component, video 1/input 1 etc.

When finished return the mits remote to 000 mode then your back to normal

If this confuses you then try it without the learning part and just press these buttons while facing the TV. Set the code at 0-9-0 then press Device then SQV....see what happened...now just press SQV and see what happens....hopefully nothing

The Device button is a dicrete for INPUT but is completed by the additional press of SQV or 1,2,3 etc. The Device button actually does nothing but let the remote know that the following button is for a discrete input....

Man all this typing on Sunday is killing me

Thanks guys, finally got around to programing my Philips remote. Worked like a charm so I just want to thank you all for all your help. I really only use 2 inputs on the Mitsubishi which are the comp-1 (satellite and soon to be Xbox 360) and the hdmi-1 (denon 3910) so it has been a great help.

does anyone know if this works for Mits Plasma as well? Last I knew the only way to get discretes on these sets was RS-232, but my customer doesn't want to spend the money on control (go figure!). Thanks in advance to anyone with solid answers that will save me time and money (both are scarce these days).
