I have been able to find and program discretes for all my gadgets except my marantz vcr. Does anyone know where I can find those codes?

Thanks. This forum is killer.

You can download the ccf files here for recent Marantz products.

[Link: marantz.com]

Use ProntoEdit 4.x, delete all the stuff you don't want, and File|Export As to your flavor of Pronto.

But to save you the trouble in this case

On is:

5000 0000 0000 0001 0005 003d

twice; then,

5000 0073 0000 0001 0005 000c

Once, with .1 sec delays between commands.

This is actually the power Off command twice, followed by power toggle.

Off is just:

5000 0073 0000 0001 0005 000c

twice, with a .1 second delay between the two commands.

I assume that there is no power on discrete, but this shold work very well, nonetheless.

Jon, thanks for your reply but you are way over my head. I don't have a pronto or pronto software. I was looking for simple three digit codes that I could program into my RS and then learn to the MX-500. Any ideas?

VCR_0081; EFC=082 is Off and EFC=044 is Power Toggle (but Power Toggle is already the Power Button in VCR_0081).

A discrete On is a macro with two power off commands followed by a power toggle. You may have to tinker with small timing delays between the three commands. I think you should learn the basic commands into your MX and do the macro in the MX.
