i messed with one the other day and couldn't find any on/off discretes on it.
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

Try Using "Play" as your power on command
Try using "Play" followed by the "power" for the power off command.
May have to add a small delay between the play and power commands to work dependable

I would agree that there probably is no discrete on and off for this DVD player. I have an Integra DPC 5.2 DVD changer and an Integra DTR 6.2 receiver. The receiver remote has discrete on and off (standby) buttons which work as expected on the receiver. However, when the receiver remote "off" button won't do a thing to the DVD changer. The receiver remote "on" button turns the changer on and off, non-discrete style.

Both the play command and the open command (non-discrete open and close) will turn the changer on.
