I have looked high and low for discrete codes for this TV...to no avail. I'd really like discrete codes for tv,video1,video2,video3,etc. Also, a disrete on/off would be excellent.
If there aren't discrete codes for the video modes, any ideas on how to set up a macro to always go to video 1 or video 2? Right now I have the macro go to TV, then enter a channel (changes TV to Cable mode) then hit video select x times for the desired video 1,2,3. It works, but seems a bit clumsy.

On my Toshiba TV Ch+ seemed faster to bring it back to the tuner input rather than a numeral, since for a numeral it waits to see if you are going to enter one, two or three digits. Ch+|TV/Video gets to Video1 etc. as you suggested. That worked very reliably for me.
There are only discrete power commands for recent Toshiba RPTV's. AFAIK, even those don't have discrete input commands.

Thanks, Jon. The only problem with Ch+ (this was my original method) is that if the TV is on antennae already, channel plus will change the channel. I only use one channel on my TV because of the setup I have (one device is on a channel modulator, ch.67, every other device is on video 1,2,etc.) So if I am watching the device on ch.67 already, the macro will change to channel 68, which is blank for me.
Thanks for the suggestion, though. any ideas for discrete on/off? Also, my tv has recently started not responding to my remote, occasionally. It lasts for 10-30 minutes, then acts normally. I have tried 2 universals and the original TV remote, so it is definitely the TV. Has your Toshiba ever done that? Just wondering if it is a sign that something may be going bad in it.
