Hola... I got a Sony HT-SL7 about 1.5 years ago... The Power HEX code resulted in:

0000 0066 0000 0010 0061 0019 0031 0018 0019 0018 0031 0018 0019 0018 0031 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 0018 0031 0018 0019 0018 0019 0370... This is button 21 for device code 48 (see my .ccf file in remotecentral).

HT-SL7 (A.K.A as STR-KSL7) is exactly the same as Sony's "new" STR-SL7...

I looked Daniel Tonk´s on/off discrete codes for this receiver and they are totally different to the one above:

0000 0066 0000 000d 005f 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0017 0018 0018 0018 0017 0018 0018 002f 0429

These discrete code does not work on my receiver HT-SL7 but seem to work on STR-SL7 even when receivers are the same in functions and appearance.

Any ideas on how to build discrete on/off for HT-SL7???

Thanks a lot...

Daniel,

There are two Sony receiver device numbers used for most functions. Sony 12 bit protocol, device 16 (AV 1 the most common) and Sony 15, device=48 (AV 2 used in newer receivers). The power toggle that you posted is device 48, command=21 (that you obviously know).

The second Pronto hex command that you posted above is Device 16, command 47=Off. In just about any Sony device code Command 46 is On and Command 47 is Off. I created those using MakeHex:

Device Code: 48 Function: 46-On
0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0345
Device Code: 48 Function: 47-Off
0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 032D

If these work (and they should), please post them in the discrete section using the description AV 2 newer receivers or something like that.

Thanks a lot Jon... I'll try these and if they do work I'll let the community know.
