Looking for the descrete power on and off for the Sony STR-DE4ES reciever 2nd room.

According to [Link: anycities.com] which is the best site around for Sony infomation, Sony12 device=121 is the second room device number so if it responds to discrete On and Off it is likely to be these two commands:

I cut and pasted the code you provided and it did not work. I learned the toggle code from the remote for the 2nd room power.

After posting the above post, I did figure out that buy using the sony RM-LP211 remote that came with the str-de4es, if I put the remote into 2nd room mode, and select any device, the recieves turns on. this seems to be a usable work around for the power on. I guess I can use the toggle power to turn the unit off.

Any thoughts?

Interesting, the toggle that you posted is Sony15 device=121 command 21. That is what I expected. Command 21 is the power toggle command for every Sony device that I have seen.

Most Sony devices also respond to command 46 as On and 47 as Off (the pronto hex I originally posted for device 121).

Second room Tuner is Sony15 device=121 command 33 that is the Tuner select command for most receivers.

So yes, a macro for 2nd Room Tuner select (or any other input select) + Power Toggle would be a very good workaround.

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like the site that I mentioned above has the rest of the input commands for Room 2.

BTW, there is an all systems off (Sony 15 device=5 command 55). That turns everything Sony Off. That command is posted with the Sony discretes.
