This unit is gaining a little ground since they have had a few "fire" sales at Best Buy and other local brick and mortar stores.
Given that it isn't the best unit out there, it fit my budget and works great for what I use it for.
Problem is, I have an HDVR2 (DirecTV Tivo by Philips) and the peanut remote does not have codes for controlling this device. Therefore, I would think about purchasing an MX-500.
Problem is, I know nothing about JP1 configurations, and also do not know if this requires a "discrete code" to operate. Can anyone here let me know if they have this unit, and know about the codes?
I am desperate to get a universal remote to control this unit and my Panasonic TV, AND my HDVR2. I am tired of using two remotes for my TV viewing.
