Just bought a Sony XBR65A1E, and it is not quick and easy to switch the Picture modes (Standard, Cinema Pro, Cinema Home, etc). Are there any discrete codes to set them quickly? (Or even so that I can easily program my remote to set the mode depending on the Activity that I start (DVD vs TV, etc).

If not, what about a “settings” discrete code. Seems kind of silly to have to go to home page, then scroll all the way to bottom and choose settings just to edit TV settings. I see you can use the Actions menu to get to Picture modes, but still takes many button clicks to get there.

What about the sleep timer. Seems a bit much to go to home page, have to scroll all the way to bottom.....then choose times, then sleep timer.....just to set a sleep timer. I would think most TV’s have a quick button that sets the timer with one button push....and adds 30 minutes with each subsequent push? For this TV, the time it takes to set the sleep timer, means I won’t be using it very often, most likely.

Did you ever figure out anything on the discrete codes for Picture Modes on a Sony TV?

Or possibly a work around?
