Hi Everyone,

I'm using iRule to create a custom remote for a friends home theater. They've got a Infocus IN82 hooked up but iRule only has some basic IR commands in their database. The theater has an anamorphic lens setup so I need a discrete code for both the 16:9 format and the letterbox format for this projector. I was able to find a list of IR codes on Infocus' site, but it's in NEC format and iRule only takes Pronto Hex. I've been searching around for a converter, but haven't had much luck. Anyone able to help out here. I'd really appreciate it!

Get IrScrutinizer.  On the Generate tab, select NEC1, enter 135 into the D field , 78 into the S field, and e.g. 0x02 for Menu.

Thanks for the response. I'll have to test out these codes next time I can make it over to their home.

Out of curiosity, how did you know to enter 135 in the the "D" and 78 into the "S" field? I assume these the device and sub device number or something similar. I've seen these being required when using a lot of the IR tools. However, I have no idea where I would have found that info.

Customer code 0x4E87 is Subdevice and Device in hexadecimal (base 16) format. 4E hex = 78 decimal, 87 hex = 135 decimal. Use window calculator in programmer mode to convert.
