Philips soundbar remote buttons alternate codes with each button press

I am using a program to learn IR codes for my Philips HTL7180/F7 sound bar, to plug into Irule. Should be easy enough, but I am finding that most of the buttons send one of two alternating codes with each button press. For example, to emulate how the remote increases the treble, an IR blaster has to repeatedly send "TrebleUpCode1" followed by "TrebleUpCode2", rather than just repeatedly sending one code. Does anyone here understand the logic of this?

Thanks.
