Hi there,

I recently bought a used T+A receiver (it's a german "Audiophile" brand), and it came without its remote control. The previous owner told me that he controlled the thing with his smartphone using the IRPlus app.

That's basically true and it kind of works using the "T+A F6" remote present in the list of remotes available with IRPlus.

However, it doesn't work with the "Amp Menu" button. So I contacted the brand and they provided me a pdf supposed to help people program a universal remote.

The line about the Amp Menu button contains the following information for the F800 remote control :
- Button Label : AMP
- ABCDEF : 111111
- Description/remarks : TV:?
- Colour : FB_AMP

IRPlus uses Pronto_HEX format, and I have strictly no idea about how to use the info the bran provided to reprogram the button...

Any help over here ?

Thanks in advance,

Stan

This is the IR protocol called Blaupunkt, probably because it was first seen in Blaupunkt equipment.  You can use IrScrutinizer to generate the Pronto Hex on the Generate Tab, by entering 0 into the D box, and the bit reversed number corresponding to ABCDEF into the F box.
The T+A website suggests 001010 for AMP-Menu. Reversing this gives 01 0100 or 0x14 = 20 decimal.

The value 111111 is 0x3F

Hi 3FG

I guess you picked the wrong number... you should have taken 2FG for Too F... Good ! ! !

I tried the 111111 Value first and it was the correct one. I'm not really there yet because it looks like some other buttons of the IRPLus remote don't work, so I can't navigate the menu just yet, but with the explanation you gave me, it only should be a matter of time ;)

Thank you very (very) much ! ! !

Stan
