Hello all .my name is Georgio. Let me start out with the fact I can barely turn on the toaster.
My simple goal was to raise and lower the volume on my receiver while watching DirecTv. The remote is programmed to control the TVs power,volume channels etc. But no matter what I Google I can't find the code that speaks to this receiver.
PS I hope I posted this in the correct place.If not,can a mod move it to its correct home please

Sony receivers have two code sets, AV1 & AV2(has nothing to do with the same named devices on the directv remote), that equates to code 31058 or 31758 respectively in directv remote. Whichever gives power using the middle PWR key in either Av1 or Av2 device. To get the volume and punch it through to all devices:
1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press SELECT
