OK, here is my challenge. I am using Tonto to down load to my TSU 2000(Proto doesn't recognise my serial port). I am unclear about all the different flavor of codes here. HEX, Binary, OFA, EFCs, etc. When I go to look up codes for my DVM 1805 5 disk DVD changer, I get the following PDF from Denon.

[Link: usa.denon.com]

I've looked at the thread about Converting Denon codes, but I am still unclear about how to convert:

c1,c2,c3,c4,c5,c6,c7,c8,c9,c1,c1,c1,c1,c1,c1
0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0

... into any kind of code that I can enter into Tonto. Any protocol gurus out there who can help? Where do I start. BY the way, that link is to codes for a different DVM model, however my guess is that it will still work.

Cheers!
Rich

Here is the Pronto hex for those discrete power commands. Keep in mind there are no IR codes posted for the DVM-1805. The ones at your link and posted above are for the DVM-4800. The DVM-2800/2800II do not have discrete power commands.

Have you tried the Play command from Off. Many DVD's, VCR's, and CD's will turn on. So On=Play|Stop and Off=Play|Power Toggle.

I have no clue how Tonto works and my suggestion is to use someone elses PC and just paste the above commands in Pronto edit. There may not even be discrete comands for your model, so take out all the variables. The above commands will work for several models of Denon DVD's.

Cut and paste is the same in Tonto and PE in this respect.

I don't know about your specific model

but if the denon codes don't work; try panasonic dvd codes(many denons are built by panasonic)
