I'm trying with no luck to find discrete codes for a Sharp LC-70UH30U display.

If anyone has found discrete codes (Power On and Power Off) that reliably work, please let me know.

I'm using CCP's Universal Browser and have tried many of the hex codes that I have googled with no success.

Very frustrating doing macros without a minimum of discrete power on/off codes!!!

They most likely don't exist. That's the Sharp way. Otherwise, just try all 256, then you'll know for sure. Only takes about 15 minutes on a JP1 remote ($3 on ebay), or generate all 256 pronto hex codes with IRScrutinizer.

If you do go on a hunting expedition, just avoid the Evil K codes:

Thanks for the reply. I did go through them using CCP while my MX-890 was connected via USB. I would open an IR command and click the test button inside the program to see how the TV responded. On the "Discrete" codes that turned on and off the TV, I pressed the test button a second time to see if they toggled (which they did).

For all of my one touch...well two touch commands, I have it go to a page with two buttons that say "TV ON?" and "TV OFF?". Depending on which is selected determines what to do with the toggle power for the tv.

Additionally I used a variable called ACTIVITY that is assigned a value on each activity button.

I found using variables the way URC training videos show how to deal with Toggle commands a bit frustrating because the toggle would get out of sync with the variable in the remote.

In testing I have found that my "ask the user if the tv is on or off" screen breaks is when they falsely select if the tv is off when it is indeed on and vice vesa.
