Hi it appears Sony has changed their IR Codes on their 2015 TVs which use Android TV. I am in search of discrete codes for in particular XBR65X850C but it is likely the same on all "C" versions. From some searches it appears that Logitech updated their Harmony database for the new TVs but I don't have any access to it. At a minimum I am looking for on and off, but direct inputs would also be great. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure they've changed? I seem to recall someone mentioning this before, but then it was learned that they haven't changed after all. Are you running the latest firmware on the set?

I apologize, they do appear to be the same. I ran a different cable from my speakercraft & IRTrans distribution block to the TV IR In port and the normal Sony TV codes are now working (Same codes I had from my previous 52XBR4). Sorry for the confusion.

Ah yes - you need a stereo cable for that. There may also be an issue with inserting the cable too deep into the jack.

I'm looking for a discrete code that turns the internal speakers on and off for this XBR65X850C. I found a pronto Hex code listed for Sony "Speakers ON OFF" and added it to my harmony remote, but it does nothing on this TV. :( Sony didn't really get rid of this code did they?

Alas, they stopped implementing it a LONG time ago.

However, this is one place where HDMI CEC and ARC should work for you... I have the X850B, and if I try to watch something on the TV with the amp off, the TV automatically uses its internal speakers. When the amp powers on, it automatically switches to external speakers.

I was afraid of that... :(

Thats very interesting that the TV can know when the amp is on or off by using HDMI and ARC. Something to think about when I get a new amp. The thing is, my Sony DA30ES amp still works perfectly and has no clue what HDMI is. :p I have all my devices hooked to the TV HDMI inputs and they send their audio ti the amp via optical cables. Not as clean and just HDMI, but works great.
