hi there

first post here after browsing it for a week or so. seems a mine of information

i am learning AMX programming to try and ultimately advance my AV technician work and i have an ebay bought NI 3000 processor and MVP 8400 touchpanel at home with which i am learning code and slowly making pages which control various items of my hifi setup.

so far i have managed to control my TEAC cassette deck and Samsung dvd/vhs player by using AMX IRL codes.

i have also managed to gain reasonable control of my Kenwood minidisc player by using a ccf file which someone posted here, generating hex codes from it and pasting them into AMX's IREdit program to create a new IRL file which to my amazement worked pretty well at my first attempt

what i want to do next is to get control of my Hitachi TV unit. it is an L37V01U and the remote for it is a CLE-984. i have searched high and low for some type of IRL or hex codes for it but have so far drawn a blank, so i was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction or offer any advice?

when i eventually manage to get the Hitachi programmed into my MVP 8400 i then want to set up a page with which to control my Huawei digibox. the remote for this is a URC179251-02R00. again, if anyone has any codes for this item too then i'd be really happy

many thanks in advance for any help or advice

ok so i managed to find this resource online : [Link: irdb.tk]

it looks pretty good but i'm unable to test anything at the moment.

would anyone be able to advise me on how to find out the device type and protocol (nec 1 or 2) of the L37V01U model that i have, or equivalent?

many thanks

ok so after a fair bit of trial and error and getting help and advice from whoever i could find, i managed last week to borrow the skills and equipment of a very nice feller from AMX who had an iris capture device. we captured the ir codes for the hitachi tv and also from the huawei digibox. and codes for another couple of devices that i had to hand while i had the opportunity :)

the generated IR amx codes for the hitachi tv work fine but for some reason the codes that we captured for the huawei digibox dont work. i've tried troubleshooting until i am blue in the face but i still cant figure out why it does nothing.

the IR bud is good and i've placed it directly over the existing IR receiver in the unit. i'm fairly sure the code is good (it works fine for other devices) and the setup for the button on the touchpanel is fine.

i was just wondering if anyone has any info which i might have overlooked regarding this huawei DN360t digibox? or any other advice?

many thanks

Hi there,

I thin I am chasing a dead end but you don't happen to have discrete on / off codes for YouView do you?

I have a Humax DTR YouView box but not been able to find any. I'm clutching at straws but if you have codes for your Huwaei that work I;d gve them a try.

Chris.
