Not sure if this code exist or not.

Whenever we are watching a show with Music like 'American Idol' we like to change the Tuner's Audio to 'Logic' where is sounds best for us.

Right now we have to click our 'Sur. Decode' button several times to get to this setting.

So I'm looking to see if I can Program my Remote to go directly to this setting.

Thanks in advance,
Debbie

I have a MX900 Remote with the latest Software.
I can remember entering code like that in the older Ver. of the Software but not this one.

Where would I enter it?

Thanks,
Debbie

I don't know anything about URC remotes.  Perhaps you should ask a question about entering Pronto Hex or other description of an IR signal into the MX900 in one of the URC fora below?

k, thanks

are you using CCP or the stand-alone mx900 software?

IF CCP:

Click Tools (in the menu bar).

Select Universal Browser (new pop up window)

Click the HEX button in that new window

Copy Paste your hex in the box on bottom.

Click the drag button and drag the hex code to a button on the remote.

Now I see the posts in multiple forums.
What a nightmare these entry level yamahas are.

without the OEM, I have to speculate on the next closest similar model, and as I don't have access to ANYTHING in the HTR range, I am going to assume, based on past experience, that this uses the same code set concepts / generalities as the RX-V series and not the RX-A series.  My closest guess based on model similarities in the RX-V36x line of receivers.

Just for thoroughness, though I did dive into the RX-V86x series and even the RX-V1 which are much higher end.  The codes for the sound fields are the same across the board.

The code 3FG posted above is specifically listed as the ProLogic code on the vendor provided data sheet, assuming she is using receiver code set 1.

So, I am speculating that she might need the PLII codes, which I will post.

Debbie,
Tell us the exact model number instead of HTR-30xx.  We can then correlate that with the corresponding RX-V series receivers.   Also, please check the manual and find out which ID number (ID1 or ID2) your receiver is using.  The codes given so far are for ID1.  ID2 needs similar but different codes.  Finally in your manual, try to find out the exact name of the functions you are looking for.

It is a HTR-3064

As for the ID1/2, I don't see that in the manual at all.

The exact function is:
Catagory: Stereo
SUR.DEC (Surround Decode Mode) / Pro Logic

Does that help?

Thanks

OK,
This webpage  shows that the HTR-3064 is the same receiver as the RX-V371.  The 371 manual on page 57 describes how to switch between between ID1 and ID2.  Page 29 lists the available functions for Prologic.   The AWE site provides PDF files for IR codes for the 371.

As we said before in post #2 the ID1 code for Prologic is Device 126 Function 201  (described in the Yamaha document in hexadecimal notation as 7E-C9)

The ID2 code is NEC1-f16  device 126 function 201.55  (7E-C937)
0000 006C 0022 0002 015B 00AD 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 05CB 015B 0057 0016 0E6C

I would first establish that the procedure for importing these signals into CCP is working.  Here is Vol+  Device 122, function 26
0000 006C 0022 0002 015B 00AD 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 05F7 015B 0057 0016 0E6C

Let's make sure that you can make Vol+ work before trying anything more with Prologic.

Edited to try to get the &^(##@ links to work.

When doing the test with volume command as 3FG asked, don't apply it to the volume key, use a different key on lcd screen. You can erase it later.

This is great.
I'm busy right now but will test out the Vol+ on a key on tuner say page 2, button and let you know.

No problem... That's what backups are for.
