I am looking for discrete power on and off codes for the JVC XV-FA95 DVD player.

Any luck? Device code 0623 is a much better match than 0558. I have tried all extended function codes and none of them function as discrete ON/OFF codes. The JVC generic codes (247 & 248) also do not work.
I am also looking for a code that would perform a disc skip like the button on the front of the DVD player.

I should mention that I've been using an RS 15-2104 for my testing.

As far as I know, JVC DVD's don't have discrete codes for power. You can try and see if you can fake it out by hitting PLAY + Stop for Power On and Play + Power for power off. Some DVD's will turn on when you hit play, I have an XV-SA70 and that trick doesn't work on mine.
