When I try and capture a IR signal I get the following error. "No capture device selected, aborting". Under Options, Capturing Hardware IrToy is selected.
Running Windows 7 64 bit.
Thanks

Here's how I do it, although with a Widget rather than IrToy. With the IrToy plugged in, go to the Capture HW tab. Click Refresh. Click the drop down arrow and select the correct COM port. Select the correct baud rate, and then click Connect.
Have a remote ready to capture and click Test. You should see a capture. Now you use other tabs, like Scrutinize.

Adding to 3FG, the tricky thing on Windows is to find out what COM port Windows has assigned the device to. For this, use the device manager. (While you are there, consider removing unused junk "virtual" COM ports, bluetooth serial and such; they may dramatically increase the startup time.) The good news is Windows tend to remember the association, i.e. COM12 today remains COM12 tomorrow, even across reconfigurations and reboots.
IrScrutinizer inquirers the IrToy its firmware revision. This should say V222, or similar.
Be sure to use the firmware version 2.2, at least if you are using the IrToy for sending.
