Did you try the discrete codes listed in the major Vizio thread just below?

the "e" series IR codes don't work on the "m" series....I have been told by vizio
that the Logitech harmony has the codes in it..

I used my harmony to add the M422i-B1 codes. I then learned the power and input commands via a pronto and ran the hex through IRScrutinizer.

For Instance:

HDMI 1

0000 006C 0024 0000 0157 00AD 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 0015 0015 0016 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0016 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0607 0157 0056 0015 00AD

These are NEC protocol d=4. The harmony database is the same codes as the urc database is the same as the codes posted in the link above.

Occam's razor:

Vizio suddenly changed their entire code set for this one new series of tvs

or

Your vizio tv simply doesn't support discreets.
