Sherwoods traditionally will turn on with on input command (and go to that input) the same way Sonys and Integras do.

I had an install with sherwood receivers. RD-4105 and RD-7405HDR. Neither would respond to either set of my power codes. (Come to think of it, they only responded to the power commands, and I had to learn the entire remote of both).

I have two sets of Sherwood discretes. As I mentioned above, these codes, though they were listed for the receivers above, did not work for them. I had to call an input, wait 6 seconds, then call power for my "discrete" off.

You can try this first set:
