Is there a discrete IR code for POWER ON and POWER OFF to use on Nintendo Wii?

Thanks.

I've never seen any control for the Wii but their own little Wii-Motes (the hand held control wands). These, of course, are bluetooth. Is there some sort of after market remote? I've never seen it. And with the Wii already being at EOL, I can't imagine someone is making one for it.

I don't think the Wii has IR receivers. The remotes do though, but it's not for user/player to operate the Wii. The little bar that is placed on top/bottom of the TV sends out constant pulses of IR. In turn the Wii remotes senses those to determine "where" it's pointing at on the TV.

Wii is bluetooth. You're out of luck like the rest of us.

What would you control on the WII? Power? Netflix?

I have no idea why you'd need to control a Wii with a remote. Buy an AppleTV if you want Netflix.
