Really? Sharp sent those codes? The codes use the Pioneer IR protocol, and Pioneer device numbers, and some of them have the two-command Pioneer structure. Also, "Elite" is a model name used by Pioneer.
So, have Sharp started to use electronics made by Pioneer? Or do we just have confusion?
I completely understand your confusion, but I assure you Sharp made an "elite." I think its a terrible moniker, as pioneer already had it. They even had the outer bezel and frame like the pioneers did, but did not have the piano black.
I have one of these TV's on a current system. I just dug back into my SavantSoftware to remember the exact model number. Of course, I was using RS232, which is really the best way to handle sharps. This xml does have some IR codes, but they are translated pronto to S. I don't know how to reverse translate them, and I am not about to post that sheet.
Funny story. This TV is installed outside over a large bbq grill. I can't believe it's lasted this long!

[Link: wired.com][Link: soundandvision.com]Let me dig deeper into my files. I feel like this TV took different codes, but let me study this XML and look at the RS232 and IP protocols. If they are similar to the modern sharps, I have to imagine the IR protocol is likely to be the same, though that may be a huge leap. xCode and komodo are crashing on launch, so I'll have to try something else.
