Is anyone controlling this device successfully with discrete commands?

I'm having problems controlling it using iRule and a Global Cache IP2IR. I can't control it at all.

Either Onkyo changed the codes or the protocol, and they are not out there yet, or I have some bad hardware.

A quick jump on the dealer portal doesn't reflect that any changes. Also, if you are familiar with integra's ICSP or their AVR_IR protocol sheets, you will see that they do not change codes, they add. And they have been adding codes for over a decade. Sony does some thing similar.

If you read this forum much, you will that that many people have difficulty with the iTach stuff. What is your control system? Android or something? Did you try the codes before you sent them through your iTach?

There are way too many variable at play to suddenly suggest that Onkyo/Integra changed their codes set.

What codes have you tried? Post your pronto hex, not your iTach converted hex. Are you using the iTach wireless or wired piece? Does your IR emitter work? Is it placed properly? What is your control system? Are your firmwares up to date? I would start with any of those first.

I can confirm that the old Onkyo/Integra descretes don't work on the TX-8020, only volume up/down. RTI database.
