Hi I have programmed an arduino to output pronto hex codes for samsung tvs. It works well for all functions, ie power off and input selects. However, when i try the discrete on code, it doesnt work. it doesnt work on a samsung me55 or a ue46. However, it does work on a samsung ue32.

The remote that comes with the tv works fine with discrete on. I have captured the code using my phone and retransmitted it with my phone and it works. I have compared the codes that i captured with the ones on this forum and they are the same. I even recaptured the code from the arduino and it looked fine apart from the fact that the final off sequence was a bit short.

I cant work out what is wrong. Does the ME55 and UE46 need a stronger signal to turn on? Is it possible my emitter is not strong enough to trigger an on event? I can see the standby LED faintly turning on/off when the code is being transmitted but it doesnt turn on?

Is there a setting on the commercial panels that could be affecting this?

Any help or ideas would be great. This is driving me nuts!

Thanks

The oem remote has a discrete on? Can you post the hex? There been at least 3 threads asking for it. Post what codes you do have so far please.

Hi. There is a thread a bit further down with all the Samsung codes in it. The discrete power on and off work using those codes. I captured the codes just to check and they are the same as posted. If you are only getting power toggle, you may need to go into service menu and check that discrete power commands are turned on. Hope this helps
