A heads up unless this is well documented.
I worked with an RS-840UD Reference Series 4K Display the other day. Standard JVC TV discretes did not work and this was the solution...
- IR codes are .pdf downloadable in copy-paste pronto hex form from the JVC website. THESE ARE INCORRECT.
- Discrete IR codes only work with 1.1 firmware (version 101x)
- You MUST update firmware before discretes will work. expect an hour process and have a USB stick available.
- Use the IR code documentation that is inside the compressed firmware update folder. The document looks exactly the same as the one from the web site but the codes are different and they work after the firmware update.
Have fun... we just launched back to the year 2000. I am just glad I did not have to update with a serial cable.
