I have this information, how do I generate a pronto hex code:

NEC Transmission Format using Definitive Technology Custom Code (B): 0x0A58
                                                                    Custom Code      Data Code
NAME       FUNCTION: SoloCinema    DECIMAL   Ccode   Ccode’   Dcode    Dcode’
Power ON  DISCRETE_POWER_ON       87          0x0A    0x58     0x57      0xA8
Power OFF DISCRETE_POWER_OFF      88          0x0A    0x58     0x58      0xA7

Thank you in advance for your help.

Use IrScrutinizer (among other tools) to make the Pronto Hex.

This is probably pretty obvious, and I should remember having read Barry's paper on pronto hex. How did you know the device and function based on the information he gave you?

The information says NEC Transmission Format using Definitive Technology Custom Code (B): 0x0A58,  Convert 0x0A to decimal 10, and 0x58 to decimal 88.  Actually IrScrutinizer will accept also 0x0A and 0X58 as the device and subdevice.

Of course, we don't know for sure if this is the intended order of the bits or if the bits should be reversed.  Probably we don't need to reverse the bits.

I am still learning how these protocol sheets list information, as I have primarily dealt in (pronto) hex. Are there any documents that explain the various remote protocols? Is this a JP1 search question?
