I was able to program my Comcast remote (Model 1167, with red select button) using the code 10000 for a Sony Bravia HDTV (Model Kdl-46v5100) and have been able to manually program most functions using the 994 setup code, but I've been unable to figure out what the EFC code for two functions are:

(1) The period (.) (or dash on some TVs) button on the Sony remote (Model RM-YD028) that lets you tune to digital channels (for ex: 10.1, 12.1, etc.)
(2) Favorites button

Does anyone know what the codes are to manually program those two functions?

I used the JP1 lookup tool, and it said the EFC code was 207 for the Dash button, but it did not work. It didn't have anything for Favorites.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Most common Sony TV functions are on device 1.  However, Sony also uses other device numbers, and the .delimiter button sends device 151, function 29, while Favorites is probably device 119, function 118.
Setup code 10000 can only send signals for devices 1 and 164, so you need to change to a different setup code-- 11317, which is far more flexible.  It will provide the more common functions without modification. For less common functions, the following list of EFCs for a KDL-40V4100 should be similar to your 5100.

I just tried these codes on my new Sony KDL-60W850B with remote RM-YD102 and they work great! Kudos to 3FG! Might you have a lead to additional codes for the "Options" button or "Scene Select"? My Comcast remote is doing a fine job of controlling this TV but I'd like to add a few more custom codes if possible.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Scene Select is probably 64157.  Options should be  24876.

64157 does nothing

24876 is video2/component

I'm sending codes by pressing "set-up" once and entering the 5 numbers while holding the last number button on Comcast remote.

I made a mistake on Scene Select.  Try 62109.  For options, check 24876 again. That normally is labeled "tools" on a Sony TV remote.  An alternative is 22085--the normal EFC for video2/component.

FYI, My remote was set to 10000. I set it to 11317 and 62109 works. Unfortunately I lost functionality of some buttons with 11317 but as long as I can reprogram them with the EFC's in this thread I should have no problem. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks again.

These Sony15 device 26 codes are used in some newer Sony TVs.  The EFCs above are all for much older Sonys.  However, most IR codes have stayed the same.

Thanks 3FG, all set with the Tools & Scene Select EFC's. Works great!

Might you have a codes for an Onkyo receiver TX-SR501?

Need to switch between DVD, Video 1, Video 2 on receiver for different audio feeds. One from Xfinity box and one from Sony V.

Yes, we have the codes.  However, for the Onkyo, we need to know which Comcast remote you have.  Please use the 983 command to blink back the signature of your remote.  It will either be 3039 or 25562.

That's the newer version of the remote, with a very recent group of setup code.  It is also easier to use with Onkyo remotes.  The following EFCS will work on the 25562 remote using setup code 31298.  I used RemoteMaster and this Onkyo TX-SR501 upgrade file to get the EFCs.  Over time, Onkyo has added many functions, and probably other upgrade files from newer receivers may have additional EFCs which would work with your receiver.

31298 set-up code will not allow me to turn the power on to the receiver but it will turn it off. I tried sending EFC’s DVD, Video 1, & Video 2 directly from the remote and they work. Using set-up code 30135, RemoteMaster and this Onkyo TX-SR501 upgrade file I’m able to get Video 1(EFC 00058) & Video 2(EFC 00054) to work. The DVD EFC 00060 they suggest(adding 2leading zeros) does not work. Be nice to have the DVD function.
