I'm looking for discrete codes (at least Power on and off) for my TV (Hitachi 57TWX20B).

Chip,

It is always helpful to describe what type of remote that you are trying to program. I saw your question posed in a different thread that made it clear you need EFC's for a OFA remote. Hitachi is setup code TV_0145 and here are all the commands translated from the official Hitachi commands all of these are NEC1:Device=80:

OBC EFC Command
180 8
184 9
182 Enter / Hold / Store
186 11 / Antenna / Tuner
053 SA/A Monitor / NiCam / Bilingual
057 Input Source / PIP Source / Antenna
055 Last Channel
059 Mute
052 AUX / 0 / 12
056 1
054 2
058 3
117 Display / Cancel / Recall / Status
121 TV / Off Timer
119 Volume Up / Menu >
116 Help
120 Volume Down / Menu <
122 Power
245 Channel Down / Menu Down
249 Channel Up / Menu Up
251 Surround
244 4
248 5
246 6
250 7
217 Video 1
215 Video 2
219 Video 3
212 Video 4
155 Enter
023 OFF
024 Video 5
022 Power On
026 Power Off
165 Program
036 Home Theater
038 F / Red
107 Menu / Text
229 Dig 2TV / PIP
233 PIP Swap
231 Dig Shift
235 Menu / Reset
228 UP / Time / Blue
232 Down / Swap / Yellow
230 Picture / Sound / Normal / Green
234 Sound
201 PIP Freeze
199 2 Pix
133 Cursor Up
137 Cursor Down
135 Cursor Right
139 Cursor Left
157 AUDIO

From here you can either use Key Moves or create a device upgrade using KM Master. If you have other specific JP1 related questions you will get better answers using the message board at the JP1 Yahoo group and I also am a participant there.
