Someone just posted these in the JP1 group: efc=253 (OBC=152) is ON, efc=001 (OBC=153) is off!

Don

I'm dying to go home and try these on my T150.

Don, you beat me to it, but here they are for the Pronto users courtesy of John Fine"s MakeHex:

Device Code: 9.9 Function: 152-On

0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 070A

Device Code: 9.9 Function: 153-Off

0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 070A

I think all the SIR-Txxx STB's use this same protocol and device. Would anyone trying these please report back one way or the other.

No luck here either. I tried em on a 151, no response. Dang, I got really excited there for a minute. I'd definitely be interested if there's an alternative set you have. THANKS!

I know I would love these as well my T-151 is the only unit I have that doesn't have discrete on/off codes. It is a minor thing though. Thank you everyone so far for helping. If I can somehow help let me know.

Tested and verified the hex formats of the "On" and "Off" commands on a SIR-TS160, both work.

Anyone know the SIR-T151 code for a Mits WS55809 remote? I'm not as worried on power as I am channel up/down. Thanks.

N00bie question here, how do you use these discrete codes with a MX700 remote? Help is appreciated.

You'll have to take your MX700 back to your authorized dealer and have him reprogram it. The MX700 is not designed for end users.

No, seriously, what you need is either a Pronto-type remote or a UEI brand (One For All or RadioShack) with a JP1 cable. The codes listed in this thread would be programmed into the remote I just mentioned and that remote can teach it to the MX700.

Suitable remotes include the OFA URC8810W and URC8811, RadioShack's models 15-2104 and 15-2116. These four are ready to use with JP1. There are some others, but they involve soldering pins (or eeproms) into the remote.

The posted codes do not work on a SIR-T165.

Here is the learned code for the T165 toggle power on/off. Is it possible to extract the device number from this and build a new code using the discrete on and offs that work on the T160?
Thanks.

Learned code:
0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 070A
