I'd like to control a Yamaha A/V RX-V1200, Samsung TV UN46EH6000 and Cabelvition DVR Explorer 8300HD with a Cablevision remote UR2-cbl-cv04.
The remote has to control the volume of the V1200 the on/off of the TV the the channels and other functionality on the DVR.
Any suggestions?

That's an easy one to answer. You can't. The remote is basic and will control the cable box and a tv's power and volume, that's it. For your needs, you will want to look for a proper universal remote.
