I am in need for some help trying to convert the following from RC5 to HEX. If anybody could help I would very much appreciate

Here is the list of remote commands for all the preamps and integrated
amps. They use the RC5 protocol. The extra 5 commands at the bottom
are on the "newer" revisions of all preamps except VK-3i/3iX/5i/5SE.
You just have to try and see if they work. If not, the processor chip
can be switched out.

The Display code works like this:

preamp onpreamp off
-------------------
short presschange display brightnessturn preamp on
long pressturn preamp offno action

A long press is defined as continuously sending the code (holding down
the button) for approximately 1.5 sec.

The system code is preamp #1 = 16 (10 hex)
Also available is preamp #2 = 19 (13 hex) requires processor change

Download IRMaster (link is for windows version), and select RC5 protocl, D=16, leave S empty, and enter in, for example, 17 for volume down, or 56 for mute off, or 1 for the digit 1.  Click Render to see the Pronto Hex.

BTW, your post would have been much more readable if you had troubled to manually insert spaces instead of allowing everything to run together.

"Mute off5638*" is interpreted as function 56, or equivalently function 38 (hexadecimal), and I don't see anything that tells us what * means.

RC5 uses a toggle bit, so the long presses may not work.  We can try a different Pronto Hex for the long presses if they don't work.
