What is the model number, and what is the cable system you are using it on?

Was in NYC yesterday with one of these boxes. It doesn't matter Samsung, Cisco or S-A; the software that Time-Warner is using now has eliminated the 'power keys' option which let you use channel 0/delay/exit as a way to force the box on without changing its channel.

I wish every one of my customers would call the cable company every time their cable box wasn't on when it was supposed to be. Using their call center will cost them money, and that's the only thing that's going to get them to change their software.

I leave the box on and give the user a CBLPWR button on the remote to turn it back on if it goes off. I've seen people use the timer functions to force the box on every morning, but that's not all that reliable either.

saw my first samsung from cablevision. power on with numeric setting is not there. tried every button (except cbl power) to see if another key would discretely turn it on - no luck.
You can't make toast in a floppy disk drive.
