I have a pioneer VSX-52 reciever that is in a rack with another pioneer receiver and I have had to put the remote into mode 2 so that they do not interfear with one another. Seems all the pronto hex and listed codes are only for mode one. Does any one know what bits or digits get changed when the remote mode is set to 2?

Thanks

Do you know how to create hex? I would be happy to send you the other 3 code sets if you create the hex.
I have never messed with them (300+ commands) as in most installs an RF base or RS-232/IP control is used when using multiple receivers.
Let me know and the list is yours.

I have also been trying to use the makehex editor to no avail it seems. I have been trying to generate them based on the codes listed and the corresponding hex codes pioneer has and they come close to matching but seem to be off by one decimal for some reason. Am I missing something?

There was a timing issue with some models so i adjusted the irp files to fix it. If you look you'll see Suffix=1,-78. I replaced th3 78 with 44. Yours will probably work for the VSX-52.
It was the lower end Pioneer models and possibly the VSX-40 that had issues with the wider timing gap. I didn't want to use two different sets of files so I use the 44 for all models. It works for all the models so everyone is happy - I hope.

Can you post the changes to the codeset? I am also having problems finding the changes necessary to properly utulize remote 'mode 2' on the pioneer receiver. I can teach it most things via learning to make it work, but that leaves too many discrete commands unknown.
