I have Audio/Video business here on Long Island and I have programed many MX-500's and some Phillips Prontos by sending the signal from one remote to the other. I do not understand why Discrete Codes are used when you can just do what i have been doing. The only problmes i have had is with Sony power on & off, but what i figured out is if i just send the same button to the other remote in 2 differn't bottons it works. SO like i said why use discrete codes and how do you make/get them?? ALso, as far as training for remotes and home automation do you have any suggestsions as far as schools or programs?? Thanks for your time, Lonny
