I use a MX 3000 to control a Sony STR K840P. I have not been able to locate the discrete Preset Codes for A/B/C. Currently I am using just the Preset followed by the number. I then have to hit the button up to three times to get the right station.

I was able to find on this forum an old post (6/16/2006) from Daniel Tonks saying

"There *are* discrete "A" "B" "C" codes for Sony tuners. They're in my CCF/PCF system files (note that these are for AV1 mode; a receiver set to AV2 might need different codes which may or may not work)."

I went to the files and did a search for those submitted by Daniel Tonks but I don't know how to figure out which one he is referring to in his 6/16/2006 post.

Can anyone help me with the discrete codes or which of Daniel's files I should try?

Thanks

Jason,

Thanks for the response.

I think I was able to find Device Code Using the MX-3000 Editor. I went to Program\Pre-Programmed IR Database. I set the Device to Audio, IR Data from Audio. I then Selected a brand (ADC) and was able to Scroll Through the Enter Setup Number to 13

I could not find a function 48, 49 or 50.

I also couldn't find anywhere to enter the hex codes you supplied for A/B/C

Can you or anyone else point me in the right direction?

Thanks again for the assistance.

Frank
