That same Document lists the IR Codes too, it does say though "if the IR Codes don't work....."
I read the document thus:
the discrete codes are 8 in number, and that providing you are using the 'built in' IR Routing then the Matrix will automatically recognise which Zone the IR is from and apply the command to that Zone.
So this would mean if using Discrete codes they cannot be routed 'outside' of the Matrix, for example using an RTI RF link.
Or do you read the Manual differently?
