I was hoping that someone other than me really hated the delay between sending the "on" command and an input command, and was able to figure a way around this. If you have any advice, I would appreciate it.

Since you obviously have other components to turn on to feed the Panny a signal, you can send the power on command, then turn on and configure your other components, then send your input selection. This might give you enough time and also do something useful while you wait. Then it isn't delay anymore ;-)

Does anyone have the discrete codes for input and aspect for the Panasonic PT50PD3P?
