I'm installing a SmartHome 2411R IR to Insteon Receiver that has a limited code set compatibality.

I am having a MAJOR problem trying to find IR codes that will work with it.

Allegedly it works with NEC Code Sets: 0001, 0013, 0017, 0022, 0025, 0030, 0089, 0123, 0104, 0125, or 731.

Can anyone point me to a download area where I can get those codes for use with an URC-980? I must be stupid because I can't find them searching this site :-(

Thanks

In the manual it has this,

IRLinc Receiver is an infrared (IR) to INSTEON converter module.
Input infrared must be a recognized NEC-compatible code to be recognized by IRLinc. Since NEC-compatible codes are utilized by many manufacturers, a large number of manufacturer codes can be used, for many device types. However, since not all products with the NEC brand actually use NEC’s codes, it may take a few attempts to find a code compatible with IRLinc.

Remote
URC

MFR Part#
MX-MX-700
MX-MX-850
MX-MX-950
MX-3000

Mode
VCR/TV

Manufacturer
N/A

Code
289

Have you tried that?

There is also a Pronto PCF file in the Files Section that has codes.

Here are some examples.

Jason - thanks but I can't import the Pronto PCF file into my MX-980 (at least any way I know of), thus I am unable to extract any IR code data.

There are no complete NEC Code sets I can find in RemoteCentral's files section. The one NEC set there is only 10 rather usless codes.

If I can locate a Pronto code set for the URC MX-MX-700/850/950 Remote it appears that would do it, or the Pronto TSU2000.2001 with code sets 1, 3, and 6.

I just haven't been able to locate code sets I can import into my URC MX-980 yet.

Did you try the codes I posted above?

If they work I will post the rest of them.

Do you have URC's CCP?

You can use the Universal Browser to import hex codes.

Jason - I would appreciate your posting the remaining hex codes. I have the 2411r receiver without the remote and want to perform the device linking and scene generation in HCA home automation software. Learning other NEC codes with the 2411 requires me to link devices before the "new" code is accepted. So - importing the "native" codes via the universal browser will make them available to my mx-900/msc-400 setup.

Thanks

I'm sure Jason won't mind me sending them to you.
I've posted the whole set for that particular protocol.
They're in your RC Mail.

I'm in a similar situation. I originally programmed my 2411R with my TSU3500 using NEC codeset 0065 (specifically NEC/VCR). I'm now programming a non Pronto that accepts hex codes. ProntoEditNG doesn't actually show you the hex code (from its internal DB).

So I'm looking for the hex codes, for the above codeset, for digits 1 to 9. If the entire codeset is available, I would be grateful.
