Ya, ya, cheap junk but its what the customer has to simply get blu-ray to his patio.

MX-980 remote, tried learning codes, says it accepted it fine but it doesnt work. i know exactly where the IR receiver is on the unit so thats not the issue. i read that the codes couldnt be learned into URC remotes but must be a way. Anyone have HEX codes? there has got to be a way to do this.

4 Port Component Video Switch w/ IR Learning Monoprice part #3027.

t actually works fine for this application, dont see any degradation in quality so far but sure cant control the thing with anything other than the remote it came with.

Actually on sight now. Told customer I might need a few days. Called monoprice at noon before coming to job and they said they would send something within an hour after checking with "appropriate sources". havent heard back from them. If i do I will post results if any for others in future.

The learned codes will work for this. The placement of the IR flasher is crucial and I have added an extra number of repeats to get it to be consistent.

Finally made it down to customers to work on this.

ADK, you are right, the learned codes do work now for some reason. Odd, they didnt work before. thanks

Glack the hex codes work too! Thank you again.

However, both only work via IR. I know the IR receiver on the unit is slighty right of center between the 2 and 3 on the front. No placement work. The IR output is set to port four on the 260. Flasher work, no rf changes the port. only ir. I set the port to ALL, all flashers flash, switch doesnt change inputs. i have put the ir emitter all over the place, nothing works RF, any ideas?

Everything else works perfectly, even port four that I also have running to the patio TV from which port four is also split out to component switch. Also tried using only the switch on port four, IR splitter, notta! also moved to port one on 260, changed programming so switch is on port one, it flashes on switch, no input change.'

of course the first line of reasoning is that the ir emitter is in the wrong place. no place works and I can see the IR receiver on the switch with a flashlight. i am confident its in the right place. Stuck. Open to sugggestions.

I just used these codes on a Pronto TSU3000 and they work there. Any idea what the codes are for Power, Mute, 2CH, 5.1CH, Up (>), & Down (<)?

old post. same tired customer. what would be the reason these codes only work when pointed to unit? I have looked and tried a zillion places on remote for IR receiver. maybe I don't have right place. any one know?

Its still junk but works, remote aside.
