G’day,

I have an Altech DSD4121 Digital Satellite Receiver & a Pronto TSU9400 Remote.

The problem I have is the Pronto learnt the codes from the Altech remote OK, but when I use the Pronto, the Altech Receiver gets the signal but nothing happens, I know the Altech receives the command because there is an LED that lights up on the receiver, but it doesn’t go off, it’s the same result as using the Altech remote & holding the button down & not letting go, nothing happens until you release the button.
My DENON RC-995 universal remote could not even learn the comands from the Altech.

Here are some the learnt codes doing it the normal way.

Also are there any discrete codes for the Altech as well.

These codes seem to be the same as the PACE TDS-850. If the codes above work I have a DB file I can send you.

A,B,C,D all work, but they all do same thing as I descibed in my 1st post & that is once the button is pressed it stays pressed & won't do anything else, I have to use the Altech remote stop the Pronto.
Hopefully that makes sense.

E and F did not work.

G,H,I,L,M all work, but still stay on.

J & K didn't work.

How come the "single quick push” technique worked for these 2 codes even though it took quite a few goes to get them to work. Is ther some way of imitating this or adding some extra hex numbers on the end of the standard codes. Just a thought.

That is what I tried to do with the I,J,K,L & M codes. I have know idea why they stay on. I do know that XMP IR Protocol can be very hard to learn but I have never heard of this problem before.

Are you loading and sending these commands straight from the remote or using PEP2.4 to send them?

Are you using a RFX Extender?

I'll PM RC member 3FG and John Fine to see if they have any ideas.

I'm not sure what you mean about loading and sending the commands??

I'm using PEP3.0 to paste your codes into MY DATABASE then asigning them to buttons in a PROJECT then downloading that into my PRONTO.

Could PEP 3.0 be a problem???

Yeah that is what I meant.

The other is to connect the remote to your PC and test them using PEP3.

Could PEP 3.0 be a problem???

I doubt it.

XMP IR Protocol (which is what they are using) is nearly impossible for any remote learn correctly.

When you say it stays on do you mean when you press LEFT it continually goes LEFT whithout holding the button down?

When learning you should only hold the button down for about one second.
