Hello

I bought a cheap hdmi matrix switch on ebay and it comes with an IR remote.
I tried learning the codes with a Pronto, but here is the result of 4 attempts on the same code:

900A 0068 0000 0001 00FF 01FE

0000 0061 0022 0002 0182 00C0 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 0048 0018 06AF 0182 0060 0018 1030

Any idea how to get this to work? None of theme works of course.

Thanks

They are NEC1 Protocol codes and Device Number 00 in Hex (zero in Decimal).
e.g. code 1
900A 0068 0000 0001 00FF 01FE

The first code is a clean learn and should work. It is Function Number 01 in Hex (1 in Decimal). The rest are Function Number 0 (zero) so they are different to code 1.

Code 2 & 3 are also clean learns just at a different Frenquency. Code 4 not so clean (bad learn).

The Frenquency for each codes are,
Code 1 = 39.857 kHz (68)
Code 2 & 3 = 42.733 kHz (61)
Code 4 = 43.179 kHz (60)

Standard NEC1 Protocol is 38.000 kHz (6D) but this does not mean yours can't be higher but I would try these,

900A 006D 0000 0001 00FF 01FE

900A 006D 0000 0001 00FF 00FF

The first string (900A) is NEC1 device 0, function 1. The raws learns are all NEC1 device 0, function 0. But the timings are a little odd. Try these instead:
Device Code: 0 Function: 0
0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94
Device Code: 0 Function: 1
0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94

Jason, 3FG

Thank you very much for your help, and really sorry I have not replied sooner but I was travelling abroad (well the States actually!).

Jason I tried your codes but was not able to make them work, not sure why.

3FG, both of your codes work perfectly, that's great.

Using the info you gave me regarding the protocol (Nec 1) and Make Hex I was able to generate the additional missing code, that's great!

Thank you.

Frenchaxim

Which Pronto are you using?

If you are using PENG software it will automatically change 3FG's and MakeHex codes to 900A codes (the codes I posted).
