Does anyone know the discrete IR codes for swapping between AMP and TV for HDMI sound? I see the serial/IP commands but am looking for the IR codes.

Amazing.. I was looking for the same information for Denon 3311CI.

However I need to program these into MX-980 (MX-980 Editor) but software doesn't seem to have any option to input above data.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Jason

Sorry for being so dumb but "Universal Browser" in MX-980 editor only allows to view but not to add any new sequence.

Could you please tell me but more how to do it?

Thanks and appreciate your help

Sorry but I tried various ways, but sequence has no effect on Denon. Here is what I did:

1) Opened universal ediror, clicked on hex, pasted hex data for "select" and dragged it to button called "audio select"

2) cleared hex editor, pasted hex data for TV and dragged it to button called "audio TV"

3) cleared hex editor, pasted hex data for AMP and dragged it to button called "audio AMP"

I tried various cominations:

a) (1) + delay 2 sec + (2) + delay 1 sec
b) only (2)
etc

But no effect on my Denon receiver

Any advise will be great as to what I'm missing.

There is no online training for Universal Browser so don't know if I'm doing something wrong here.

I called Denon technical support, they said they don't have any such IR code and advised to use "HDMI control" to achieve the same which I'm trying to avoid.

Thanks

I don't know because I don't use CCP. Try a code you know works like Power On and Off.

MAIN ZONE ON

I just had a look at the code sheet for the 3311 and the codes in Post 2 are not listed, only for the 4311. I think I remembered a discussion here on RC about this before and I think there may be a firmware update to enable them. If not try contacting RC member M Hi Fi (Matt), he works for Denon.

Cheers
Jason

Hi Jason

Thanks. Your thoughts on process of elimination is excellent. As you suggested I tried Main Zone on/off sequence and it works. So it elimiates any ccp programming issues.

Next I upgraded firmware to latest. I still didn't make 3311 accept sequenece for AMP/TV.

I'll wait for Matt for any further suggestions.

Meanwhile, as a crude, dirty, and error prone way, I programmed a macro navigating 3311CI system menu to change AMP <->TV. It will keep me going meanwhile ...

Thanks and appreciate all your insight.
