The hex code in the Marantz list does not work. Does anyone have a working code?
Universal Remote by the way.

Thanks

Go to www.marantz.com. Select your Country, look up the receiver. There is a download document with all the Hex codes.

Which hex code did you try?

I don't even see an USB Input code for Zone3.

Do you have to use the Main code?

I guess it was just play?

So... there's a code to select discrete play, random etc for zone 3 usb, but no discrete input select?

That can't be right?

Try RC5x 16 92 11. It could be an error in documentation.

I noticed that Zone 2 used 16 30 11 for USB, 16 30 12 for BD, 16 30 13 for X-Port etc... and that Zone 3 used a similar pattern with 16 92 xx starting at 12 for BD.

Here it is...

Device Code: 16.92 (0x10.0x5C) Function: 11 (0x0B)
0000 0073 0000 0010 0040 0020 0020 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 00A0 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0AA4

From the input selection descriptions in the Marantz RC codes sheet - it looks like the Net/DMP and USB inputs are shared? Is this right?

I am not in front of one to play with at the moment.

The code you posted is 16 23 29. Just a mistake in entering?

RC5x only has 64 possible codes for each device/sub device number so it should be,

Device Code: 16.93 (0x10.0x5D) Function: 23 (0x17)
0000 0073 0000 000F 0040 0020 0020 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 00A0 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0040 0040 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0AA4

Yup... good catch... it was late and I guess I did not know that I had the makehex .irp file range set to 255... and I grabbed 93 somehow.

Interesting though... 64+29+93... if the range is set improperly the code set simply repeats.

Hi,
I'm hoping you can help. I also need SR Z2 discrete codes and was advised by Marantz to use Pronto Edit software which has an rc5/rc6 translator. When I copy the system/command/extension into the software it comes up with a very short hex ie: "power on" is 16 29 03 which the software translates to 5001 0000 0000 0002 0010 001d 0003 0000. Does this look right to you? I don't have the unit to test in front of me.
Thanks for your help!

You can only use those short codes with Marantz, Pronto and Nevo remotes. If you need standard hex codes that start with "0000" you will need to use,

MakeHex
Makes clean IR sequences from IR protocol files. See the readme file for more information.

MakeHex GUI
Place in the same folder as Makehex.
