There's a dozen Samsung DVD VCR combo upgrade files at hifi-remote.com. None of them have discrete On/Off functions.

Samsungs never have discretes for their players that I have found. I have tried all available codes using the same protocol and device number but it has been a while. I use play to turn the unit on and a macro to turn it off (play-power or exit-play-power or exit-stop-play-power or others depending on the model). I did find some interesting hidden commands that were useful for macros but non better than play. You also may have to adjust power settings for the unit to get play to respond from an off state.

Punctuation my friend; it does a reader well...

Sorry to harp, but after watching three of my kids try to get through high school without having to use ANY punctuation (I swear they thought it too much work), it drives me crazy to read these run on sentences that make no sense. I used to read things back to them in a monotone voice completely void of punctuation and it would irritate the s*#t out of them. The could not even conceive that I was only reading EXACTLY what they wrote.

Thing is they probably were irritated because they knew exactly what u were doing. Maybe you were the one that couldn't concieve that thought. Thanks for your concern on my 3 lines of info. I will definitly take your info into consideration when I start my novel. THANK YOU !!!!!!!
