Looking for discrete on/off codes for the above TV.

I found a TV-on signal that works, but the TV-off wouldn't import into Girder.

Anyone got any others?

Andy.

Andy,

Assuming that this is a Panasonic TV (It will get you a better answer to be a little more descriptive), the posted command for Off is correct.

The Alternative On and Off commands posted are actually the same commands (power toggle) for the older Panasonic TV's and should be removed.

I know nothing about Girder, but if the discrete power on command could be "imported" correctly then I can't see why the Power off wouldn't work. There are only two bits that are different.

If it will help you somehow, there are 48 data bits (six 8-bit bytes)in a newer Panasonic command. In decimal the bytes are:

On =2,32,128,0,62,and 190
Off=2,32,128,0,63,and 191

The bits are transmitted backwards (or MSB first)so 128 would be 00000001 and that is pretty typical in IR commands. The 2 and 32 are constants, 128 and 0 are considered the device and sub-device numbers 62 or 63 the commands and 190 and 191 are check bytes that are the XOR of device, sub-device, and command.
