I am trying to find the ir codes for an optoma ep721 projector. My remote died about 2 weeks ago and i am on the hunt but with not to much luck. Discrete on/off codes would be great, but even the power code off the remote would do..
thanks guys

For 719 and 739, which may be similar to the 721. From hifi-remote.com: NEC1 device 79.80
vol up 7 vol down 10 power 2 menu 17 up arrow 19 down arrow 20 left arrow 22 right arrow 21 select 23 pg up 5 pg down 6 hide 3 re-sync 4 freeze 12 reset 13 keystone + 8 keystone - 11 dvi-d 27 vga 30 s-video 29 composite 28
Here's Power in Pronto Hex: Protocol=NEC1 Device Code: 79.80 (0x4F.0x50) Function: 2 (0x02) 0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94

Thanks for the quick response..
I tried the code but had no luck, i'm not really experienced enough to have any idea what all that other stuff was. But i do appreciate the effort.
If anybody has the learnt ir code for the power button for this projector that would be great!
cheers

Try this,
Device Code: 0.2 (0x00.0x02) Function: 0 (0x00) 0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94
If that does not work what remote are you using?
Do have any hex codes you can post for other functions that work with this projector?
Cheers Jason

No luck with that code..
Unfortunately i dont have the original remote, and cant seem to find one anywhere. Tried optoma but they are no good. Figured out how to use makehex and tried all the codes from the first post but also had no luck.
The projector has direct power on and auto source search, so i think i will just have to use the switched power source on the back of the receiver to turn on a contactor which will power up the projector. Im an electrician which makes things easier.
that being said if anyone has an original remote for this projector, it would be greatly appreciated if you could learn the power command and post it.
Thanks again

I wouldn't power the projector that way if I were you, instantly powering down a projector without allowing the fan to cool the lamp will shorten the life of the lamp. I'd wait until someone comes up with the codeset.

apparently your projector shares it's codeset with the following Optoma projectors in case it helps: EP721, EP727, EP728, TS721, TX727, TX728, EW1610 Remote model is: BR-5016L
